My wife is the coolest wife. EVER. Not only did she buy me tickets to Flogging Molly or Christmas, who by the way is probably one of the greatest Irish folk/punk groups of all time, but she was a total pro at the concert! She did not want to sit on the sides or at the back. No no no, she wanted to be right in the middle of the crap, so we could see better. She is so freaking cool. She even enjoyed the Street Dogs! I also enjoyed the Street Dogs, who I thought sounded like the Dropkick Murphys and turns out the lead singer used to sing for DKM. Overall, it was an awesome Christmas present and night that will stick with forever. Order of events: Arrived at the Cain's Ballroom. I love that place! So many memories. Twopointeight was the first band we saw. They are a band from Stockholm. Their guitarist has an exceptional mohawk. We then stood in line forver so I could get a FM t shirt. The Street Dogs came on and put on a freaking great show. Becky left and this guy dressed like a priest came up to me and said, "Dude, are you Irish?" I said,"Yeah, some He does the Father, Son and Holy Ghost thing the Catholics do and said, "May God with you. Walk in peace." I still don't know how I feel about that. Flogging Molly came on and played two new songs, one of which is featured on my Myspace. They played some newer songs and some classics. Great band and a great show. Thanks for an awesome night sweetheart! See my wifey's xanga for sweet pics of the concert! |
